Just a quick bio for David Blake from my psychological crime thriller (ish) Confession. This is the one I’m having all the trouble with.
Name: David Blake
D.O.B: 6th June 1968
Hair Colour: Black
Eye Colour: Brown
Profession: Forensic Scientist
David is very logically minded and has a no nonsense attitude when it comes to ghosts, magic and anything that can’t be explained by science. He also has a strong sense of right and wrong and believes that those in the wrong deserve a punishment that befits their crime. Bitter and mentally broken from the deaths of his wife and daughter, it is little wonder that David chooses to take the law into his own hands.
David has been part of a forensics team for twenty years. From an early age he sought to protect the weak and punish the guilty, often getting into fights, but his love for science drew him towards forensics rather than pursuing a career as an officer of the law. He was married with a single daughter, but tragedy took them from him. His six year old daughter was killed in a hit and run. When the police could not find the one responsible, his wife began to lose her mind and drowned herself on the anniversary of her daughter’s death.
Wracked with grief, David swore to find whoever was responsible for his daughter’s death and destroy them as they had destroyed his family.
“Guilt is damn heavy.”
